Time For Promo-Tion
Announcement! I’ve been promoted to a full time Visual Merchandiser!
I’ve learned everything there is to do in a Forever 21 store. Customer Service. Sales. Fitting Room. Cash Wrap. Stock. Lead. Visual Merchandising. My favorite by far was merchandising and throughout college, I did everything I could to get a merchandising shift to learn more about it from the merchandisers.
Once I graduated, I was able to take those early morning merchandising shifts and for four months, I learned everything I could from my visual manager and the seemingly menial tasks like folding and sorting were the most fun for me. But it was actually developing skills that would prepare me for this full time role.
I’ve also been asked to continue as full time visual merchandiser for a new store opening in Montclair in a few months in October, so I’m also super pumped about that too.
I am very excited for this new role as I get to see new season trends emerge and display them for our customer with interesting pairings and intentional placements. I think my focus for this role is going to be combining what I learned in college about strategy and management and what I learned from F21 about visual principles.
